A través de este documental, daremos voz al valioso trabajo que realiza la salvadoreña Irma Colocha Estrada Silva a través de sus talleres de autodefensa feminista integral en Centroamérica.
Desde hace varios años, la Colocha enseña a grupos de mujeres la posibilidad de situarse en su entorno de manera más segura y consciente, desafiando las brechas de poder, reconociendo su legítimo lugar en el mundo e impulsando sus propias capacidades.
El trabajo de la Colocha con Cuida Tu Espacio es una herramienta útil para todas las mujeres del mundo, de todas las edades y situación económica y social.
En el documental, veremos reflejados riesgos comunes a los que nos enfrentamos todas las mujeres, herramientas para superarlos, y el impacto que el trabajo de la Colocha ha generado en la vida de cientos de mujeres que ya han aprendido a su lado.
Este documental es una llamada a la sororidad y a la defensa de nuestros espacios, en defensa de los derechos de todas las mujeres del mundo.

Este proyecto es una iniciativa de Irma Colocha Estrada, con Cuida Tu Espacio en El Salvador, Cine de Plano y Acción Contra la Trata, asociación navarra que lucha por la construcción de unas relaciones afectivo-sexuales libres y sanas entre todas las personas, promoviendo valores de igualdad y favoreciendo masculinidades sanas por el bien de todas y todos.

Self-defense - The power of women
Through this documentary film, we will give attention to the valuable work carried out by the Salvadorian Irma Colocha Estrada Silva through her feminist self-defense workshops in Central America.
For several years now, La Colocha has been teaching groups of women the possibility of placing themselves in their environment in a more secure and conscious way, challenging the power gaps, recognizing their legitimate place in the world and promoting their own capacities.
The work of La Colocha with CuidaTuEspacio (Protect your Space) is a useful tool for all women in the world, of all ages and economic and social conditions.
Through this film, we will understand usual risks all women encounter, we will learn about some useful tools we can use to overcome those risks, and we will witness the impact generated by La Colocha in the real lives of hundreds of women who have already learned by her side.
Through this film we will be calling for universal sisterhood. This will be a message thrown to the world to reclaim and defend our space, in the name of the rights of all women of the world.
With your support we will cover the expenditures of the days of shooting and part of the postproduction process (editing and audio mixing).
This project is an initiative of Irma Colocha Estrada, with CuidaTuEspacio El Salvador, Cine de Plano and Acción Contra la Trata (Action Against Trafficking in Humans).
Acción Contra la Trata - ACT is an association based in Navarre (Spain), working on social awareness for gender equality, to end with human trafficking and sexual exploitation, and promotes new values in the frame of fair and healthy masculinities for the good of all.
