July of 2014 Bill Shaw brought Speak-up Zine to Traverse City and Laurie, me and many others were asked if we would like to write our stories of living on the street . Laurie and I began writing for and selling the Zine and as many things go this led to something else.
Laurie Koelsch and I created Cuddly Visions to promote a better understanding of those in economic transition and to dispel the myths and stigmas applied to those experiencing homelessness.  With this book we hope to educate children to the fact that not everyone has a safe place to sleep... some people sleep in doorways even under bridges and so we are trying to bring this project to life. This project means Laurie and I can, hopefully  become self-supporting and find ourselves off the street but more importantly we hope to bring a better understanding  about homelessness to those who are lucky enough to never have experienced it.

All money raised goes to making this book a success, and hopfully after we get it off the ground ,we'll be self supporting so that we may start phase two... a program where  we give a talk on homelessness at the elementary schools and at the end every child is able to have a book for free. We thank every one for at least reading our page and God bless.

P.S. No teddy bears were harmed in the making this book.
