CSU Cycling Training Camp Lodging
The CSU Cycling Club is currently participating in our annual Winter Training Camp.
We drove 21 hours and arrived in Santa Barbara, CA at 1am in the morning to find out that we were scammed out of a place to stay. The house that we signed an agreement for exists, but it is locked and our host has stopped all contact with us. This trip is entirely student ran/organized, and everyone pools together the money to make this trip happen.
In order to recoup some of our losses, we are asking for support from the cycling community both local and abroad. We spent $3185 on the house, and we could really use your help to share our story so that we can stay in Santa Barbara and have our training camp.
We are also trying to find a place for 13 of us to stay through January 14th. If you can help or have any ideas please get in contact with us!
My Name is Rees York, I am the Vice President of the CSU Cycling Team. I would like to ask all of you who donated to send me your mailing addresses.
I am asking for your mailing addresses, as we would like to send you a personalised thank you for your support. Our camp could not have happened without you, and we would like to show you our appreciation. We will not give out your information to anyone, nor use it for any other purpose than described above. I believe you can message me your information through gofundme, or you can send it to my personal email at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
We were overwhelmed with the amount of support we received from our Northern Colorado cycling family and all across the country. With the money raised, we were able to complete our training camp, and get home safely. So Thank You for making our camp come true!
