Every little bit helps

The money raised is not for myself. All the money will be donated to The Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center Walk in My Shoes 2015 Committee, (@https://www.facebook.com/pages/GC-CAC-Chapter-of-Laurens-Kids-Walk-in-My-Shoes/1491107387801075) which was created by myself and other survivors of abuse to help raise awareness and give a voice to children suffering in silence. Every litte bit will help someone like me, who has been mentally, physically, emotionally, and sexually abused.

As a young child I suffered at the hands of the one person who should have protected me from abuse, but SHE abused me. I went through daily beatings, including being slammed into walls, beat with almost anything in the house and the unthinkable acts of sexual abuse. SHE told me I was worthless, a nobody. SHE failed to protect me from additional sexual abuse by a FAMILY MEMBER. I finally stepped up and got away from her torture. The torture I believed I had no choice but to endure. I want to give the kids still suffering in silence a voice. I want them to know its okay to tell. I want them to know we are here to help them recover from the abuse and realize they have a voice! I also want to be able to help kids who lost everything and who have been placed in a foster home after told about their abuse.
