In Loving Memory of Crystal Kelley

Donation protected
Crystal was born August 30, 1972 in Franklin Township New Jersey and resided in Lawrenceville, NJ at the time of her passing.  Crystal was predeceased by her father James Kelley and brother Shawn Kelley.  Carrying her loving memory are her mother Mary Kelley, brother Craig Kelley, husband Kelvin Robinson and children; Chandra and Christopher.

Crystal’s entire primary schooling was in Franklin Township where she graduated from Franklin High School in 1990.  Crystal always excelled academically; taking gifted and talented and advanced placement courses throughout her education.  Her talents extended well beyond the classroom; she was a leader, singer, athlete and role model.  As President of the Xinos Sorority in high school, she was the glue among her young peers.  She sang throughout her schooling in elite choirs including the internationally known Franklin High School Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers. She was a member of the Franklin High School field hockey team, where she recruited and encouraged other young women to engage and succeed in the sport.

Crystal went on to complete her undergraduate degree at University of Maryland College Park, earning a BA in Radio, Television and Film.  There she became a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. While at UMCP, Crystal was a member of the Gospel Choir and a Resident Assistant. She continued her academic pursuits at Boston University earning a Masters of Science in Broadcasting Research and Production, and a second at Teacher’s College, Columbia University, where she successfully complete her Masters of Education in Instructional Media and Technology.  With all of Crystal’s academic and professional success as a Senior Instructional Designer, her pride, joy and heartbeat were her children Chandra (20) and Christopher (13).   Crystal fervently dedicated herself to her children and was a loyal friend, wife daughter and sister. Crystal Kelley passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 and will be dearly missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and many others who knew and loved her.  Her warm smile, contagious giggle and unmatched dedication to those she loved will never be forgotten.

A service to celebrate the beautiful spirit of Crystal has been planned for Tuesday, November 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Nesbitt Funeral Home; 165 Madison Ave, Elizabeth, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, friends and family may contribute to a fund created in her honor; which will ensure that Chandra and Christopher can continue the academic and developmental pursuits which their mother selflessly supported.
