Help Me Get to Maryland!

Trying to get out of Alabama and up to Maryland with a friend. Please help me make it there safe and sound!

I've been living in an emotionally abusive household for many years, and I am finally getting fed up with it. I feel like I'm a disgrace and I'm not bettering myself by staying there. So I want to get out somewhere where I can get a fresh start. There aren't even any jobs willing to hire, let alone near me, where I live currently! I want to be given the chance at that fresh start. A start at a new and better life, one that I haven't had while living where I do. I just want to live an actually happy life and be free to be who I am. Instead of mocked and teased and constantly feeling like I'm garbage. I would be overjoyed with being given the chance to live with my close friend who is very supportive of me, and has helped me with this. My friend who really cares for me and does love me for who I am. 

I hope to get there by the end of January or the beginning of February. I know how much I need for a plane, but due to the uncertain amount of people who will be with us, I am not entirely sure how much rent will cost me so I decided to go with $1,100 until I can find out how much I'll need for rent as well. It would mean a lot to me, it doesn't matter if it's a dollar or a million, every penny means an awful lot.
