My name is Ste, I am 34 years old and I have Crohn's Disease. I was diagnosed in February 2008 and started my rollacoaster ride with this disease, until I underwent surgery for a total collectomy and end illeostomy in August 2016 in which surgeons removed my entire colon which has left me with a stoma and ostomy bag for the rest of my life. Now please don't get me wrong, I don't feel sorry for myself in the slightest infact I am greatful for my stoma as it has literally saved my life. However, I want to do all I can to prevent anyone else going through what I have been through, especially any children that have crohn's or may be diagnosed in the future.
There is no cure for Crohn's and it would mean so much to me to raise a bit of cash to help people with this truly debilitating disease to help research new medicines, new nutritional practices and any other things that can help improve quality of life.
So last year I raised money by cycling the Leeds Liverpool canal in 1 day. This was without a doubt one of the most difficult things I have done in my life. So what now? Well I thought I'd step things up a bit. Over the next couple of years I intend on completing numerous cycling challanges to complete a total of 40,075km which is the circumference of the earth. I will update on each challenge as and when, but I will be cycling a minimum of 180km per week for every week until this is complete.
I can't tell you how much it would mean to me if you could donate anything you can, as this is something that could one day affect your child, brother, sister, friend, cousin, etc and I just want to do my little part in stopping this from happenning.

P.S - I will now be undertaking a new challenge each year until i reach my total £10,000 goal. Each year will get more challenging and I will announce what it will be once the canal challenge is complete.
