For the past 30 years, WHITE WAVE Dance has been dedicated to the future of dance. WHITE WAVE's mission is to seek, nurture and broaden the horizons of rising dance makers who are destined to make innovative and lasting contributions to dance.
In 2019, WHITE WAVE will be presenting our two awe-inspiring festivals: our 4th Annual SoloDuo Festival and our 19th Annual DUMBO Dance Festival.
SoloDuo Festival (May 19th-20th, 2019)
WHITE WAVE presents the 4th Annual SoloDuo Dance Festival
28 dancemakers from the New York Metropolitan area, across the U.S., and from Europe, Canada, and East Asia
at DIXON PLACE: 161A Chrystie Street, New York City 10002
WHITE WAVE will present our 2019 SoloDuo Dance Festival with 28 participating choreographers/companies in 3 different programs. As in past years, we anticipate performing artists will be hail from Europe, East Asia, metro NY, and across the US.
To celebrate the distinct art of the solo and duet, while creating additional opportunities to display the latest work of both emerging and mid-career choreographers, WHITE WAVE's 2019 SoloDuo Dance Festival will be held at Dixon Place, a setting nestled in the heart of the Downtown scene. This space inspires performing artists of all stripes and callings to stretch the limits of their creativity and take it to new heights.

2019 DUMBO Dance Festival (October 10th-13th)
The 2019 DUMBO DANCE FESTIVAL: A FOUR-DAY SPECTACULAR PRESENTING 70+ COMPANIES FROM NEW YORK & AROUND THE WORLD
WHITE WAVE will be presenting our 19th Annual DUMBO Dance Festival (DDF), our fifth year at the Gelsey Kirkland ArtsCenter’s state-of-the art, 308-seat theater, at 29 Jay Street in DUMBO.
With a long-time history of nurturing the work of emerging artists, WHITE WAVE is dedicated to showcase the freshest and the most individual voices in the dance field today. With a strong partner, the esteemed Gelsey Kirkland ArtsCenter, our 2019 DDF allows us to expand the impact of our festival, and is only one of many exciting developments to come.
This year’s DDF will showcase the work of about 70 emerging and established choreographers/dance companies from across the USA and abroad. The 2019 DUMBO Dance Festival is expected to attract audiences of more than 3,500+ people.
