Kiari's Surgery Fund
Donation protected
Hey dear friends, I'm Emily and this is my 3 1/2 legged Border-Aussie, Kiari. I am raising money to support a necessary surgery, an Enucleantion (eye removal), because my poor girl has a detached retina. This means that her eyeball is filled with blood and it's only increasing with pressure and discomfort for her. She does everything to stay comfortable during the day, she does a lot of side bonking, I find her covering her eye with anything from blankets, to one of her paws, or my hand, and I hear her when she wimpers in pain. I feel for her when I watch her strugge. All of this is so hard to endure (as any parent watching their child in pain can relate) but there are only a few more days until we get her eye removed.
I have already made arrangements for her Surgery this week at Winslow Animal Clinic but I thought about reaching out for some help. The surgery is $1200 and all money that I raise will go directly towards the surigical bill.
Kiari is well known in my small community of friends and family. She brightens up a room everywhere she goes and burrows her fluffy body into yours whenever you need a good snuggle. My loyal companion loves people. She is so gentle and aware of age and capability. I've watched her coddle over a new born and nurture an elderly man. She IS my pillow to cry on and my fluffy bundle of joy every morning when I have my coffee. She reminds me to stay present and live in the moment.
Speaking from having all my limbs and eye balls Kiari remains to be inspiration to me everyday. She reminds me that our soul is the stronggest part of our being and she gives so much love despite her missing paw. Now we will journey on with another body part absent. She will be my 3 1/2 legged one eyed babe for the rest of her life!
Ever since I got Kiari a little over a year ago, I have had a new found love for my community, Bainbridge Island. This place is full of animal lovers. The amount of emotional support I've already received from friends, family, co-workers, and customers IS AMAZING! The genuine concern for my little girl is downright meritorious. Thank you to everyone that has already helped me and I cherish you for taking time to hear my story.
