The Carmouche Performing Arts Academy aims to allow students from the Greater New Orleans area the opportunity to expresss themselves through the arts. We hope to enhance academic performance through instrumental music education, vocal music education, dance, theatre, and visual arts.
The CPAA wants to impact the lives of children in the New Orleans community. With our single goal being to enhance the Arts and Music education a city where the arts plays a major role everyday and impacts all citizens, we hope to create a fully functional academy. To do this, hope to building a academy where our youth can meet to take classes and music, dance, and art lessons.
With the dissolving music and art education in our public schools, we centered our academy around the idea from Shinichi Suzuki: "If children hear fine music from the day of their birth and learn to play it, they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance."
With the establishment of the CPAA the possibilities for our students are limitless. But, to accomplish this, we greatly need financial assistance. If you believe the arts are critical to enhancing our children's ability to think creatively and adapt to our rapidly changing world, then we hope to make that belief a reality.
All funds will go directly to the students benefit (equipment and supplies for student use only).
*Any excess money raised will apply directly to our Scholarship Programs. Our hope is to grow this program so we can also meet the needs of those taking art courses and private art lessons.
