2016 Costume Drive
Donation protected
With unbrilled success and so many happy faces last year we are happy to announce our 2nd annual Costume Drive. For many local families, Halloween costumes are not an essential item in the family budget. In addition to the financial burden this Holiday some families may experience, there are also families that are time starved. Our well rounded drive also supports families with children requiring 24 hour care. In some cases these families just don't have the time or resources to shop for Halloween costumes. Help support our costume drive to help local children celebrate Halloween and avoid the feeling of being left out.
Once again our primary beneficiaries for this Costume Drive are the Alternative House, The Shelter House as well as our friends at Jill's House. The Alternative House's vision is of a community in which all young people are safe, live in a nurturing environment and have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Jill's House provides respite for children with intellectual disabilities and their families in the Greater Washington, DC are and The Shelter House is a community-based non-profit organization serving homeless families and domestic violence victims in Fairfax County. With these Three organizatiions combined there are THREE HUNDRED children we are"outfiting" this year for Halloween.
We are asking for costume donations from local families but also for cash donations to help purchase sizes and or costumes that have not been collected through our efforts.
The drive ends OCTOBER 16th, so we appreciate your help before that time.
We are accepting drop offs at the Hilton Tysons Corner at 7920 Jones Branch Dr McLean VA 22102 and pick ups can also be arranged
