Cost of Insulin

I am using an insulin pump that helps with my blood sugars.  Medicare tells me " you are in what we call the Doughnut Hole". Now I can not Afford, Being on a fixed income, my Insulin. Medicare wants me to go from paying $9 for a months supply of insulin to paying $800. I have to meet a $3000 dollar out of pocket dedcutable before Medicare will have me out of the hole. I don`t even bother to check my sugars anymore, why waste the expensive test strips, when I know that it is that high. I can develop life  threatening  diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA). Within a week or so without insulin, people with Type 1 diabetes die. I pray and hope your heart is will be touched and I pray that as you give, you will be a cheerful giver.
