Coppers Vet Bills

This is a campaign I've setup for Ady Proffitt, and here is his story:

Meet Copper, our 6-year-old Ex Military Working Dog that served in Afghanistan as an Explosive and Ammunition Search Dog.

Copper was born in New York, trained by the American Army and handed over to the British Army where he spent 2 years going out on the ground patrols clearing the routes for the soldiers and saving countless military and civilian lives along the way.

His find rate on these patrols was so good that many of the soldiers requested that he always came out with them.

Copper was retired from active service aged 4 and released from the Army via the Defence Animal Centre in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

We as a family are very proud to house such a hero that served in Afghanistan so it's with regret that we find ourselves struggling to fund a very expensive spinal/ nerve problem that Copper has developed in his rear legs. Along with the X-Ray's, pending MRI Scan and Operation that will be required to fix Coppers spinal problem the vets bill alone is going to hit nearly £4000, Copper is insured for £1000 per condition (up to 4 conditions) and we as a family can afford to put £1000 towards his treatment.

So we are asking if you could kindly spare any amount to help in Coppers rehabilitation.

Copper is a true hero that has served the Coalition Forces well, he now needs our support in getting back to full health.

Any money raised that is not used will be donated between the PDSA and Hounds for Heroes.
