Connor Shaw fights "Goliath"
The #1 song in country music right now is a song that was stolen from my great friend Connor. The song under question is Jason Aldean’s “You Make It Easy” which is said to have been written for him by the members of Florida Georgia Line and another prominent country songwriter by the name of Morgan Wallen. But as a long time fan of Connor I know this isn't true.
What is true, is the fact that in 2015 Connor wrote and recorded a song titled “Easy”. Which he posted to Youtube, Soundcloud, Facebook etc.

Then in October of 2017, Connor shared his song, "Easy", with a family friend located in Nashville. With the prospect of her sharing it with some big names.
On February 8 of 2018 while checking out all of the new music that was released for that week, he stumbled upon a new song titled “You Make It Easy” by Jason Aldean. After a quick listen to the song, Connor realized that “You Make It Easy” uses the same hook and melody as his song and through more listening he also noticed many lyrical similarities.
Through some research Connor uncovered that the song was written by Florida Georgia Line in January 2018, and given to Aldean as his request.
Getting in touch with a Canadian entertainment lawyer who did his best to help Connor find a case in this situation, FLAGALine's lawyer responded with a long-winded and incredibly condescending letter informing him that no matter what he did, he would never have enough money to out-lawyer their team. (They strong-armed him by calling out his financial situation).
Through this campaign and donations to Connor's cause, I am hoping Connor will have the funding to stand up for his intellectual property. As Connor said himself, this has felt like a battle of David and Goliath, and I for one am hoping he can pursue the justice he deserves and with your help, not allow Goliath to win!
