Connor's resting plot

On 22/09/17 I had two beautiful, identical twin boys via emergency C-section. Connor was born first weighing 3lb 14oz, then Sam arrived weighing 2lb 8oz. We were on cloud 9, they were perfect, tiny and our little miracles. My husband was amazing, he kept running to the NICU and back to me (on crutches as he'd had an operation on his knee the same day) as I'd lost 4 litres of blood and needed a transfusion. Colin didn't want to leave me or our sons. He was in agony but didn't allow it to stop him being with all of us. Our bliss didn't last long. Quickly the boys needed support with their breathing, Connor began to have seizures and was put into a medical coma. The Oliver Fisher Unit at Medway hospital went above and beyond. I can't type everything that happened as it's unbearable. So I'll try my best to explain what I can. On day 4 we were told that Sam had a hole in his bowel and needed urgent life saving surgery at GOSH, so Colin travelled with Sam to London and I stayed with Connor in Kent.  From that moment on Connor quickly deteriorated. I watched at the internal bleeding left my perfect boy deformed. Each day he looked more and more different. It was horrific. Connor had a rare heart condition called hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. That started uncontrolled bleeding into his organs. On the 28/09/17 his consultant told me he needed to speak with me and Colin together, so my Mum went to stay with Sam at GOSH whilst Colin travelled back to Medway.  We were taken into a room and told Connor has been declared brain dead due to the bleed on his brain. He died the next day in my arms. We had a small and private funeral service for him. Colin and I spent the rest of our time focusing on our children Faye, Joe, Oliver and Sam.  I'm not well enough to work and Colin has had to take care of everything. We're unable to save the money to buy Connor a plot and headstone at the cemetery and our Christmas wish is that we're able to lay Connor to rest properly and have somewhere to grieve.  Thank you for reading and for any donations.
