Computer For School and Education!!

Hi! My name is Andrew, and I am a student at DREAM Technical Academy in Minnesota. I’m trying to build a computer for my school for VR, video editing, audio editing, programming, and any other project anyone needs a computer for. The computer will also be used by a coding club that I’m going to set up. I have everything in place now, I just need the money for it to all work out and get this rolling. I am interested in VR and other computer projects because I think it is a great way to get people interesting in coding and technology. It would also allow our school, which is "project-based," to offer a great resource to any student who needs a demanding computer. VR is such an exciting concept, that I've even skipped lunch several times while researching it!

At my School there are 40 people interested in this as well, so thank you to anyone who wants to help!

This is an overview of what I want to put into the computer, I will go into more detail of each piece and why I picked it, but if you're not that interested in all of that, there it is.

CPU:
AMD - Threadripper 1950X 3.4GHz 16-Core Processor 

I chose this part because it is the best CPU on the market right now, it will be able to run everything very quickly and be used to run the more difficult programs as well.

CPU Cooler:
Corsair - H115i 104.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

This is to cool the CPU so that it doesn’t start to overheat and malfunction or sustain damage.

This is the motherboard and it makes everything get stuck together and make everything actually work, and I chose this because it should work for 5-10 years still as well.

This is the RAM (Random Access Memory) it will provide it the code and frequently visited locations that the computer may need at any time.

This SSD I picked because SSD is generally faster than HDD and it has no moving part so it's less susceptible to failure, and it was the cheapest part of all of the bunch.

How it applies to me:

This project applies to me by I want to know and learn how to make my own computer and setting up and troubleshooting anything with the setup and use of programs on the computer.

It will benefit me in my career and college because I know I want to go into some profession about technology.


How it will benefit others:

It will benefit the students by around the computer I will make a coding club and that will allow me to help other people who are interested in the same things I am will be able to learn of resources for coding when you are broke. I have found multiple resources I can share with them to help them develop their skills. Also the coding club would add a social and behavior benefit as learning teamwork, and time management with making software and other finished products. This funding would help me get people who are even slightly interested in this to be able to learn more and explore it to see if they would like it and make a profession out of it one day.
