Hi.

If you’ve been following me on Twitter you know that I’m a SW and a writer with an emphasis on SW rights, global decriminalisation and feminism.

I’m passionate about SWs speaking for themselves and about our right to be heard in regards to any and all legislation and law made about our industry.

For too many years, SW’s have been silenced, ignored and treated as wayward children by governments and society.

In order to break that stigma and give all  SW’s the chance to speak for themselves, I write about these issues in the hope to inform the public and inspire other workers.

Last year I was unable to work for many months due to illness. During that time I realised that life is short and that what I regretted most when looking back at my life, were the things I’d left unsaid.

So in an attempt to correct that regret, I’m now speaking out.

On Twitter my voice can be empathetic, at times funny but always uncompromising.  My followers know that I speak my truth, every time.

It’s my dearest hope to take my writing to the next level, submitting articles to online blogs, magazines and newspapers. Opening up more opportunities for us to be heard beyond sex worker publications and beyond the terrible tabloid articles of  ‘Tips for better sex. A sex worker tells all!’

Charles Dickens is a huge inspiration for me.
A Christmas Carol, Oliver Twist, David Copperfield...these aren’t just great stories, they were great social commentary. Dickens was largely responsible for changing society’s attitudes to child labour.  Which in turn created  child labour laws, ending children as young as 5 from being employed in workhouses and factories.

I hope one day to write the types of stories that helps society to see SW’s as real people they can identify with.  Not caricatures and not stereotypes. Real flesh and blood people with real lives, making choices and decisions. Funny, poignant and alive.

In order to do this, I need a new computer. Something I just haven’t been able to manage to afford  this year.

The donation amount covers the computer hardware, writing software needed for professional submissions and a printer for hard copies.

If you can help me at all, that’s awesome. Thank you for the support. From now on, you’ll be part of what I write. When I sit at the computer, you’ll be there with me. And we will change the world. Together.

And if you can’t donate, that’s okay too. (Trust me, I know how hard things are right now) Just keep following me, learning with all of us about acceptance, tolerance and that all people have the right to live and work how they so choose. In safety.
