Composetheway's Debut EP!

Hey everyone!
My name is Jordyn Davis (also known as composetheway) & I am a musical artist currently living in East Lansing, MI.
Composetheway is a project that I began several years ago as a way to express my love for music & connect with others. For the past three years I have been writing a collection of original tunes for the release of my debut EP & the time has finally come!
The reason this project is called "composetheway" is because it embodies the notion that in this life, you are the composer, the writer, the leader, that gets to decide the ways in which you choose to live & lead your life.
My ultimate goal is to complete this campaign over the next 30 days & release this EP on February 22nd, 2017 (which just so happens to also be the day of my 22nd birthday #goldenyear). The only way to make this happen is with a little help from incredible folks like you ( & to start recording ASAP)!
The music on this release reflects a collection of experiences and ideas that have helped me understand and refine my perspective on the ways which personal relationships, interactions, and connections function/occur.
As a senior at Michigan State University, I recently made the decision to "compose my own way" by choosing to make a change & begin on a path that I believe ensures my ultimate happiness. I've spent the last 3 years at MSU studying hard sciences, including Environmental Engineer and Geology, hoping that maybe after recieving a STEM degree I'd be able to find a way to pursue my passion for music.
After lots of time, consideration and receiving an increidble amount support from my friends, family and faculty in the College of Music, this fall I made the decison to pursue music full time as a student in the Jazz Studies program to ultimately help me pursue my dreams of becoming a professional composer and songwriter.
The release of this EP is more than just frivolus venture into the music business or just a way to get my name out there. To me it represents the beginning of a very important chapter in my life where I will continue to put my dreams & happiness first.
I have started this campaign because over the next 30 days I will need your help to fund and make this a reality.
What your donations will be used to pay for:
- Studio Time + Mixing /Mastering
- Studio Musician Expenses
- Duplications + Distribution + Copyright Expenses - Promotions & Merchandise - Startup Fees + Expenses
