Considering we are 58 and older, this will most certainly be a challenge for us all! We have trained endlessly and are passionate about this ride, since all donations will go to The FedUp Coalition!
More about the FedUp Coalition:
FedUp was created in 2012 through shared concern that the federal government was failing to stem the rising tide of opioid addiction and overdose deaths. This opioid addiction is so wide spread and massive, they are calling it an epidemic. With the U.S. consuming over 95% of prescription opiods worldwide, we've come together to raise awarness and save lives.
We're raising money to donate to the cause and help in any way humanly possible.
We ask you to help us reach our goal by becoming part of the solution to this horrendous social problem! Also, if you could root us on as we venture the 325 endless miles of the GAP, C&O Trails, your strength and support will carry us through!
You 5 amaze me and the compassion to support the FedUp Coalition! I hear of more and more losing their life to this opioid addiction. Keep us in touch how the ride is going. Tyler wings will be following you! :) Letty...they have mini wine bottles. Lol. Love you!
We are all getting excited and nervous as we have never tried to acheive something of this magnitude physically before! But as they say where there is a will, there is a Way! All our belonings will be on the bike with us in a panier(guess I can't bring a bottle of wine) DC HERE WE COME!
Such a great cause and what a way to honor and pay tribute to Tyler and so many others who have battled with their own opiod addiction. Wish I could be at the rally this year... Go to the FedUp! Rally organization's page for more information. http://feduprally.org/
