Michael Adrian Hatzioannou was only 25 years old when his life was tragically cut short in a motorcycle accident on April 11, 2026. Adrian was a beloved son, brother, father, soldier, and friend. He leaves behind two precious children, three-year-old and ten-month-old, who were deeply loved by their daddy.

Adrian served honorably in the United States Army as a Sergeant and was preparing to graduate from the San Diego Regional Law Enforcement Academy as a Deputy Sheriff. In his 25 years, he had already accomplished so much. He will be laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery with honors from both the military and the Sheriff’s Department — military honors for his service to our country, and Sheriff’s Department honors for the path of service he was preparing to continue.

This fundraiser is primarily for Adrian’s children. Dedicated accounts are being established for their benefit, and the substantial majority of funds raised will go toward helping provide care and stability for them in the coming months and years.

I am Adrian’s father, Emmanuel (Manny) Hatzioannou. My wife and I traveled to California immediately after Adrian’s passing to help with arrangements and be with family during those first heartbreaking days. That sudden first trip brought significant expenses, and we now need to return to California for Adrian’s burial service on May 8.

A smaller portion of the funds will help with the cost of that necessary travel, so we can receive Adrian’s remains, attend his service, and lay him to rest with the honor, love, and dignity he deserves.
