Help Elaine Retire and Rest After Loss [Michigan]
- $1,001

Kindness Creator Samuel Weidenhofer is on a mission to ensure that 50 veterans and/or their families are financially secure for life, as together we thank veterans across America for their service.
Fundraisers from this community with recent updates or momentum.
For Your Service is a nationwide movement to support one veteran in every U.S. state. Over the course of the campaign, Samuel Weidenhofer will spotlight 50 veterans and rally communities across the country to show gratitude through financial support and meaningful recognition. This is designed to be more than a moment. It’s a movement powered by storytelling, generosity, and community action.
We are selecting 50 veterans, one from each state.
The Community page acts as the central hub where you can track every veteran, see updates, and follow the journey as it unfolds.
The community campaign begins in mid-March, with the full 50 day activation running May 1 through June 20, 2026.
Stories and updates will roll out continuously during that period, with new veterans highlighted along the way.
Veterans may be nominated by the community or sourced by our team. Every nomination is reviewed to ensure the story is real, respectful, and aligned with the heart of the campaign. Selection prioritizes:
Our goal is to represent a wide range of experiences across all 50 states.
Yes. During the nomination period, you will be able to submit veterans you believe deserve support. We encourage you to nominate individuals who:
Details on how to nominate will be shared here on the Community page.
You can support in three ways:
Generosity is powerful, but amplification is just as impactful.
No. While donations directly support veterans, sharing stories, leaving encouraging messages, and helping spread awareness are equally valuable ways to participate. This is a collective effort.
This Community page is the central hub for the campaign. Instead of constantly updating one main link, all 50 veterans will be profiled here in one place. It allows you to:
Sam will personally film and visit 30 states as he commits to raising the profile of as many veterans in need as possible. Since Sam is logistically unable to travel all 50 states he has invited friends—kindness influencers, compassionate celebrities and notable online individuals who support the cause—to visit 20 of the states on his behalf. Sam himself will appear in all 50 videos.
No. This campaign is not about comparing who is “more deserving.” Every selected veteran has an equally powerful story. The goal is collective gratitude and nationwide impact, not competition.
All donations go directly to the individual veteran’s GoFundMe fundraiser. Each fundraiser has its own page where you can see updates, progress, and messages of support.
We will spotlight veterans regularly throughout the 50 day campaign. You can expect:
Yes. We welcome opportunities that help elevate veterans’ stories respectfully and responsibly.

The impact does not end on Day 50. The goal is to build a lasting movement that continues to:
This is about long term gratitude, not a single campaign window.
We want to make this a place where everyone feels able to connect, so offer kind words, celebrate each other, be empathetic, and share thoughtful advice.
Treat everyone with kindness and respect as we do not tolerate bullying, harassment, and personal attacks. Avoid degrading or hateful comments and keep discussions focused on positive connection.
Share genuine content and engage in honest conversation. Avoid spam, misleading or fraudulent content, self-promotion, advertising, and malicious links.
Think carefully about what you share, to help protect your own privacy and that of others. Avoid disclosing personal information such as contact details, bank details, passwords, location, or other sensitive data.
We want this community to stay safe and respectful so do your part to engage positively and comply with our Terms of Service. If you see anything that you are concerned about, please report it so we can review.
