Columbus Little League Major Girls

The Columbus Major Softball team finished all-star tournament play through the state tournament with a record of 10-0. The team put up a whopping 101 runs while only allowing 9. While piling up the runs, the team managed to run rule their opponents 6 out of the 10 games played. The team batting an average during the tournament play was an outstanding .391, while the team combined for 93 hits. Out fo the 93 hits, the team managed to slug out 65 singles, 20 doubles, and 8 triples. The pitching staff devastated their opponenets racking up 77 strikeouts and only allowing 9 runs! This team is full of heart and desire with a work ethic that is unmatched by any team. Their heart, desire, teamwork and work ethic has earned them a spot in the Southwest Regional Tournament to represent the wonderful state of Texas. During this tournament, your Columbus softball girls will be competing against Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, Arkansas and the other Texas representatives for  the Texas West. The tournament begins on Thursday, July 27th where the girls will face Louisiana. If the girls win the Southwest Regionals they will advance to the Little League World Series in Portland, Oregon!!!! With the success of our softball program, we are looking to offset the costs for Little League and our parents of the State Champion Major Softball Team when they compete in the Regional Tournament in Waco.  All monies raised thru this GoFundMe page will go to Columbus Little League and the league will disburse accordingly to the Major girls team.
