Since 2011, Collette, a young woman with Down Syndrome, has been creating her own recipe for cookies and was determined to own her own business, despite any disability, which she refuses to recognize. After months and months of trial recipes on her family, she created a cookie that everyone finds irresistible. Collette shared her new recipe with many willing "samplees" to be told over and over again how amazing the cookie was and that she should sell it. That became the birth of "The Amazing" cookie.
Collette's latest goal is to land an account in a large market and hire other people with a disability, understanding that 76% are unemployed and so want desperately to have a job, earn money, and be a worthy part of a team. Collette's long term dream is to supply her cookie to a store chain, open a baking location in every state, and hire thousands of people with a disability across the country.
With your donation we can raise enough money to own a production and distribution facility, while creating more and more jobs for adults with disabilities.
I ordered and paid for cookies on 12/6/16 and have yet to receive them!!!! Was charged an additional $10 for shipping.
Received my order of cookies. Delicious! I am ordering some for my daughter. The only thing is I ate almost the whole dozen myself.
Your cookies look fabulous. Unfortunately I live a little too far away to use your service - Scotland! My daughter lives in Michigan and the postage to Scotland would cost way more than the cookies. I do, however, wish you all the luck in the world with your business
I donated when I saw Collette on TV several weeks ago. Is there any way to order her cookies through the mail? They look absolutely delicious, and I would LOVE to buy some!!!
I just got my order and the cookies really live up to their name. They are Amazing! I can only eat one a day but I'm sitting here with the bag next to my nose...they are soft and really delicious. They are in all seriousness the best mail-order cookies I have ever had, possibly the best cookie I ever had. Colette has a beautiful story, but she also has an incredibly good product. Someday when she has a multi-million dollar company, we'll all say we heard it on Facebook first!
I tried to donate but the website says there's an issue with your account. P.S. I'm inspired by your work.
Just tried to donate, but there is a problem with the site. Please let me know when it's fixed!
