Cold cot in memory of Leo McArdle

The 20th September 2018 our world came crashing down! Never did we imagine we would have to go through so much pain and heartache, never did we imagine we wouldn't be bringing our baby boy Leo home!
At 5am on 20.09.2018 I called an ambulance as I had a constant pain in my stomach that just wouldn't go away. I was 30 weeks pregnant with our precious baby boy.
I was rushed into Burton hospital but by time we got there it was too late, they couldn't find our sons heartbeat.
They scanned me but wasn't sure what was going on as I wasn't bleeding but as my body started shutting down they realised I was suffering a massive concealed placenta abruption. My placenta had completely come away from my uterus wall and this is what caused our son to be born sleeping.
After hours of medical treatment our gorgeous boy was born sleeping by emergency caesarean at 3.07pm weighing 3lb11oz.
He was perfect, our gorgeous boy, our kids gorgeous brother that they had been waiting for.
From Thursday until Tuesday I stayed in hospital in a bereavement suite that enabled my partner Michael to stay with me the whole time. They put Leo in a cold cot next to us in our room.
This cold cot was what helped get us through the rough days we had In there. It enabled us to have our son with us the whole time we was there and preserved his little body by keeping him cool.
Because of this cot the children were able to meet their baby brother and make memories, read him stories, stroke his head. Our family could meet their grandson, nephew. He was with us the whole time! He never once had to be taken away from us.
I asked the question of "how many of these cots do you have?"
The midwives reply was "this is the only one"
My heart sunk a little more. What happened if another family suffered a still born like we have whilst we was still in there. They wouldn't have the opportunity to spend as much time as possible with their angel baby.
That's when we knew that our goal and focus was to make sure we raise enough money to buy another cold cot for Burton hospital and donate it to them in loving memory of our angel, Leo John Mcardle.
Please help us raise enough money to buy one of these amazing cots.
If we raise over the amount of the cot we will buy memory boxes also for the bereavement suite and donate any extra to the Burton hospital snowdrop fund.
