Cokes For Kasey Memorial Fund

Gamma Phi Beta Sorority at Oklahoma State University would like to share with you about one of our philanthropy events coming up called Cokes for Kasey. Last year our chapter started an annual event to carry on the legacy of one of our beloved members Kasey Waychoff. Cokes for Kasey will take place on Tuesday April 12th starting at 5 PM on Oklahoma State’s campus in Stillwater and all the money raised at the event will go directly to the Kasey Waychoff Foundation.
In March of 2014 over spring break, members of our sorority were visiting Gulf Shores when tragedy struck their world. While walking home one evening, Kasey Waychoff was tragically killed by a drunk driver that swerved off of the road and hit her with his truck.
This upcoming April our chapter will be hosting the second Cokes for Kasey. Thinking about all the memories Kasey should have made these past couple years leading up to her graduation at Oklahoma State this upcoming May with her dear friends, our chapter knew this year should be very special in her honor. One of Kasey's favorite things was country music, so we contacted Corey Kent White from The Voice (who attended OSU as well) and asked if he would do a benefit concert for Kasey at our philanthropy event. Corey’s manager settled on us paying $2500 to guarantee that they can come and play for Cokes for Kasey this year. Gamma Phi Beta has set aside money, but this however will not be enough to cover the costs of Corey coming out and the carnival.
With this GoFundMe, we are asking if you would be willing to donate any amount to this special cause. Even the smallest donation will help us in showcasing how much our dear friend has impacted our lives and how getting behind the wheel after drinking is never the answer. If you choose to make a donation, the money will go towards us fulfilling every aspect of the concert for Kasey and the carnival including game booths, decorations, and of course Coca Cola for everyone to enjoy. We want to raise enough money to be able to give a special scholarship in honor of our dear member. If you choose to donate to our cause your name will be recognized on a posted sign at the carnival as well.
