Cuban is in desperate need of surgery!

Hi this is Kim Daly and I need your help....!
I adopted Cuban from a family that had never experienced raising a puppy. He is now one year old!
2 weeks ago he injured his paw so badly, that the tendons and ligaments in his right paw are thrashed.
He requires majory surgery that requires taking bone from his shoulder and then fusing it in to his paw, so that he can walk again.
The surgery comes with a hefty price tag of $7000 plus, and then there are post op fees that cannot be estimated.
When I lost my last GSD, I said I would never get another dog until I went to Cuba. Magically I was asked to dog sity Cuban via dogvacay.com and he now has his forever home!
I knew when the family came to pick him up, they would ask me to take him and how could I not. A story of serendipity at best.
Now that I have had him for 6 months and this horrific accident has happened, I am heart broken and will do anything to get him back on his feet.
I do have pet insurance that will cover 80%, but taps out at $10K!
Surgery is scheduled for April 4th and then 8 - 12 weeks of house arrest.
Anything you can donate would be so appreciated!
