Help Our Cody Fight Heart Cancer

Donation protected
Remember Unsolved Mysteries?  After my 9 siblings and I were split up in foster care I thought that one of those reunification episodes would be the only way we would be able to meet up again.  When my brother Cody, 28, was diagnosed with an extremely rare Heart Cancer on Christmas Eve of 2015 the first thing I though was that we were never going to have our reunification.  The day I was placed in foster care, I remember the feeling of my heart being ripped out and a void in my chest.  I felt the same way on Christmas Eve. I do not know what we as a family would do without our Cody.

Cody was flown to Seattle, where he got the formal diagnosis of Primary Mediastinal Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma.  Basically it's a tumor the size of a cantaloupe inside of his heart and around his arteries.  After 5 days of chemo in Seattle he was able to fly home to Great Falls to continue his treatment. The plan currently is to do 7 more rounds of chemo.  For each of the next 7 rounds of treatment he will have five days of chemo and then get a three week break.

Of course, he had to quit his job, and our mother has moved there to help take care of him.  But, unfortunately, Cody and his girlfriend do not have a car.  When Cody was well he often walked the 50 minutes to work. Now he has so many appointments and different needs that a car is essential to his care.  At this point this money is the line between my brother being able to fight his cancer and him suffering even more every day. As his oldest sister I am asking anyone and everyone to help my little brother get enough money for a car. We  are aiming to reach our fundraising goal by Valentine's Day, in hopes that we can get them a car just before he starts round 3 of chemo.  This would mean the world to my whole family.  We have no control over his illness right now, but a car is one thing we can give him to make this impossible situation a little easier to bear.  Thank you, and God Bless.
