CoderDojo Banbridge

CoderDojo Banbridge runs a free coding club for young people. Anyone aged 7 to 17 years can join and become a Dojo ninja. Volunteer mentors help them to create games, robots, websites and generally make some cool stuff in a relaxed and fun environment. We are raising money to buy equipment for the Dojo.

We know that Ninjas have the most fun and learn best when they can pick what projects they want to develop. These could include computers, robots, and other things they can code to light up, make noise and do lots of cool stuff. Your support will make sure our Dojo ninjas have a range of fun technology and materials to choose from.

Most kids don’t do a lot of coding in school. The dojo is one of the few places they can learn about technology in a fun and relaxed way. They get to work with experienced mentors, make new friends and have a lot of fun. And it’s all free!

Volunteer mentors give up their time for free because they want to give something back to the local community. They love seeing young people enjoy themselves in the sessions, and how they grow in skills and confidence through being part of our Dojo. Your support would allow us to provide good quality equipment so mentors can focus on giving young people the best experience possible at the Dojo.
