Coalition For A Better Palmer

As most of you are aware the residents of Palmer Twp have been battling the industrial gentrification of our town. The board members of Palmer hear our pleas yet continue to go behind our backs making deals. Our most recent battle has been to block the Werner trucking company from taking over all the farm land & installing trucking terminals. Werner so far has acquired 2 farm parcels side by side with the intention of building truck stops & a hotel for truckers as well as a truck dealership at the intersection of Tatamy Rd & Newlins Mill. They also intend to operate a truck drivers school which will put inexperienced truck drivers practicing on our roads. These facilites would be right at the entrance of our residential development putting our families in the middle of tractor trailer traffic that our roads were not built to accomodate nor are appropriate for our residential area. 2 recent parcels acquired by Werner were made possible by board member David Colver & the rest of Palmers board members, no signage or notification was ever given to the residents of the town as they are so required to do so. David Colver refuses to answer whether or not Werner is receiving any tax breaks or incentives as they take over our town which leads us to believe that while the township continues to raise our property taxes every year yet giving this corporation giant incentives to build in & destroy our town. We residents find ourselves at a crossroad. Should we stay residents & watch our taxes get raised & our property values go down? Do we disrupt our families & sell before Palmer township becomes a wasteland?  Werner has just acquired 2 parcels in the tune of 15 million dollars in a deal we residents knew nothing about. We were not informed of what was happening in our front lawn. We have had enough of Colvers refusal to hear us & we now intend to seriously step up our game in combating the antics this township makes us suffer. We have been fighting this for months now yet the board ignores us. We have been working on this solely on a volunteer basis but now we need more then that. Our intention is to raise enough money to pay for radio commercials & newspaper ads to let everyone know the sufferage that the township imposes on us & to stop Colver & his lack care in turning our town into a truck stop & reclaim what rightfully belongs to its tax payers. ALL money raised will be used in this effort. ALL money will be rightfully accounted for & anything spent on our fight will be made public to anyone who so wishes to enquire. Please send us an email at [email redacted] & we will add you to our email list & you will receive updates on how the money is being used as well as information on every move we are taking to prevent our town from being turned into an interstate for wiery truckers. If you are not familiar with our fight please send us an email & we will get you updated as to what has been going on. You can also join our Facebook group Concerns & Complaints Villages of Mill Race / Tatamy Hunt where all your questions will be answered & you can follow our progress. NOW is the time we NEED EVERY voice to be heard. If this plan goes through the amount of tractor trailer traffic in our tiny town will be more then 200 trucks a day, 7 days a week on top of what we already are experiencing. We NEED everyone's involvement to stop this. PLEASE HELP...Click on the links below, you can read up on our journeyThank you.
