Clint Ferrell Assistance Fund

Clinton Ferrell served in the US Air Force from 14 Aug 2007 through 13 August 2013 as an Airborne Cryptologic Language Analyst/Tactical Support Operator. Clinton served three combat tours in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from May 2010 through September 2013 and logged more than 250 combat sorties totaling in over 1,200 flying hours. After an Honorable discharge from the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant, he put himself through fire academy at Lone Star College-Montgomery during the Fall 2013/Spring 2014 semesters. Clinton completed EMT-Basic training in less than two months immediately following fire academy.

Clint is currently applying for a Civil Service entry level job at a fire department here within Montgomery County. Clint scored high on the entry test but was recently removed from consideration because he didn’t score well on their psychological test. Clint is allowed to appeal the findings of the psychiatrist, but must pay out of his own pocket for a board of three psychiatrists. This will cost him approximately $1200. He has worked hard to position himself but cannot afford this expense, as he has been a full time student for a year now.

I fully support the local fire department’s right to screen candidates, I am only interested in seeing that this young man gets a second look, just to make sure that he isn’t overlooked. If anyone in would like to provide any monitory support, please let me know. Thank you for your consideration.
