Central NY SCCA Solo Trailer

The Central New York Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) 's solo program is looking for donations to help offset the cost of a new club trailer.
SCCA Solo, also known as autocross, is an entry-level motorsports program, designed to enable drivers of all ages and talents to participate in a safe, fun and affordable form of motorsport. Competition is available for all members of the family, with junior karting classes starting as young as 5 years old, and continuing right up through late adulthood. Solo participants learn skills that not only make them quicker drivers on track, but also safer drivers on the street.
The solo program has used a trusty, but well aged, step van for transportation and storage of all the club's equipment (cones, timing equipment, safety equipment, etc). Unfortunately in the last year, our van has decided it is no longer interested in continuing in these duties, and has decided to take an early retirement.
As such, the club is looking at purchasing a new trailer to fullfill these duties well into the future. We ask all current, former, and future members to make a donation to help offset the cost of a new trailer. While not all members and non-members may be currently participating in the solo program, the solo program is critical in developing a strong membership base in the local region, and an equipment trailer is an essential piece in a successful solo program.
All funds provided will go towards the purchase, delivery, outfitting and decals of a new trailer. Any excess funds raised will be used either for adding additional utility to the trailer, or added to the club's general solo fund for additional equipment upgrades.
Our goal is to raise $6000 by early spring to enable the new trailer to be ready for action in the 2016 solo season.
