Orlando LGBT Icon Needs Our Help

Orlando, Florida LGBT Icon Bruce Ground is going thru a catastrophic financial crisis.

Bruce opened Orlando's first LGBT bookstore,  Out & About Books, on Mills, in 1992. His store became a hub for the LGBT community & hosted countless fundraisers every year. Bruce's contributions to the LGBT community are incomparable. 

Bruce & I have been FamilyFriends for many, many years. When I found out about his situation I took it upon myself to start this page for him. The account has been verified thru Bruce's Facebook & Twitter accounts to make it easier for people to communicate with him directly.

Bruce sold the store in 2001. Life has been very difficult since then. Recently he became unemployed & everything is spiralling downward.

He needs  $1353.00 by 20 January to get current on his mortgage. The bank has already sent a letter threatening foreclosure.

He needs $220 ASAP for HOA fees.

But that's not all. His house needs septic tank work, his roof is leaking, his bathroom plumbing is leaking, his car needs repairs & new tires. 

Bruce has had 6 heart attacks in the past few years. He has no medical care. He is suppose to be on medications, but cannot afford even basic healthcare.
