Claire's ABT Summer Intensive

Hello! My name is Claire Ashworth, I am 11 years old and I love ballet! I just found out I have been accepted to the Young Dancer Workshop with American Ballet Theater at their Orange County location this summer! I am currently in my 9th year of classical ballet training, and it has been my personal dream to train in an ABT program--so I am EXTREMELY excited I have been awarded a spot this year!

"Ballet is my life" has been my personal motto for as long as I can remember. It is my goal to continue training and become part of a professional ballet company one day.

My family and I live in Berlin, Germany where we are missionaries with YWAM. My parents raise support to fund all that we do here (a lot of work with refugees, volunteer projects, leading teams of volunteers from around the world to spread God's love...), so we do not have much extra money for this amazing opportunity.

Tuition for the two week program is $1200, flights for me and a parent will be in the $3000 range, plus we will have to cover lodging, rental car and food for those two weeks. In addition to the expenses for the travel and workshop fee, I will need a few new items like leotards, jazz shoes, character shoes and skirts.
