My City Needs a TRUE Leader!!!!!

Donation protected

In 2014, I ran, unsuccessfully, for City Council in the great city of Lancaster, CA in the county of Los Angeles. Lancaster is a community of about 155 thousand residents with approximately 20% Black, 38% Latino, and 34% White. During much of my campaigning I realized how divided my city was, and how one demographic group virtually controled all resources and decisions. The decisions that are made do not take into account the makeup of the whole City, and often times benefit one racial group. Not having adequate representation on the City Council, has deteriorated the ability of the City to properly address raising issues among other members of the community. The affluent neighborhoods are fighting for power and control to divert many of the monetary resources from the poorer communities, thus leaving communities composed of the poor, Black, and Latino struggling to make ends meet, high crimes, and no jobs.

I was also exposed to the harsh realities of RACISM in my city. Hit mailers denouncing and labeling other minority candidates as incompetent and a gang members made national news. However, this was not the only time the City leadership found themselves in hot water as other events unfolded previously in regards to racial discrimination in affordable housing. The Federal government had to intervene and awarded approximately 12 Million dollars to victims.

Now, in 2016, I want to make another attempt to run for City Council and eventually Mayor of the City of Lancaster. However, I do not have big interest groups nor am I a political insider. I am an Army Veteran who worked hard to earn a Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering to become a NASA Engineer. I started from the bottom and I have been through the struggles to be in the middle class. I have firsthand knowledge of living through the different economic classes. Our community needs someone that understand the problems of the poor, veterans, homeless, immigrants, jobless, parents, and students while remaining color blind.

I need your help in raising enough money to help me reach people with my message. I have spent my own money promoting my cause, but I cannot do it with my resources alone.

PLEASE HELP!!!
