Need Help Fixing Cintiq for Work
Hi, I'm Christopher Peterson - artist for such classics as GRINDHOUSE: Bee Vixens from Mars, GRINDHOUSE: Blood Lagoon, Mayday and Broken World. For the past 5 years I've been arting comics professionally and the last 1.5 years full-time professionally.
It has its ups and downs financially - and right now I've hit a down.
I do most of my work digitally for many various reasons and have been using a Cintiq Companion for the past 2 years. I previously had a 20" Cintiq for about almost 6 years and had no problems. I went for a Companion which replaced the previous one I had (and to this day I think that one is still going - me being a dummy, I sold it "WHAT COULD GO WRONG?") Fast forward to 2 years later and it's gone blank (yet still runs) and it needs to be repaired. The cost is $760 US (I don't know if that includes shipping) - which is roughly $1000 CAN.
I don't have that money laying around and the Cintiq is unfortunately, my means of income.
So here I am - I don't have a dual income household and have a daughter I also take care of, which adds pressure to my income needs and "extra money" I have (which is nothing) . I try as much as I can to do things on my own as much as I can, but it looks like I need the help. I'd be ever so thankful and humbled by any help I can get so I can get back on track with my projects as they slowly slip behind. If you're still reading this, I appreciate even your time reading this far.
Help me make comics again.
Thanks
