Ciara's Fund
Ciara was a loving vibrant 12 year old who's life was cut short far too early. She was in her home when a single gunshot ended her life. This was a terrible ending to a horific series of events that could have been prevented. Her family and friends will miss her.
This campaign is to fund a scholarship in The Susquenitia School District against Domestic Violence and Mental Illness. The details of this scholarship are still being finalized. We intend that she be remembered forever and her death have some meaning. We hope to expand this and take Ciara's fund nationwide, fighting domestic violence and helping the victims.
Please help us acomplish this important goal. Her mother's family will be administering the funds and we hope to have an impact on these terrible problems in our community.

Our family is now in the process of setting up a memorial fund for the future contributions and will update everyone on how and where contributions can be directed. We realize GoFundMe is not the most cost effective format, but in the immediate aftermath of CeCe's death it was the best option available to us. It also provides an effective platform to get the message out. The process of setting a memorial fund will take some time and right now the family is grieving.
Our intention is to fund a scholarship for surviving victims of domestic violence and continue the effort in Ciara's honor. We want her to remain in everyone's memory, and her death to be a call to action to fight for the victims of this national problem. While CeCe's death was not directly caused by domestic violence her life was impacted by it and the mental illness that may have been the root cause. It's our intention that this Memorial fund evolve and god willing grow to much more than our modest goal in this campaign. We will continue to fight against this horrible reality that many face, so that others won't suffer the same fate.
The only person to blame here is the father. If you pull a gun on Law enforcement, bad things are going to happen! Very sad this girl lost her life due to her father being a reckless idiot.
This is a place to honor Ciara's memory and raise awareness for her tragic death and the violence she lived with. Not for pointing fingers or arguing. Please keep that in mind and respect the family with your further comments. Thank you
The passing of this child is tragic and senseless. And what's worse, it's her own daddy's fault. What kind of a parent pulls a fun out on an officer when he's being served with an eviction? That's not somethig a responsible parent would ever do and hopefully, he will be charged with murder. And for the family to ask for $50k for funeral expenses when they didn't even pay their rent is ridiculous. It sounds like they are using this very tragic event to get a pay day and it's very sad. It's too bad that poor girl couldn't pick her family. RIP
People, if you have nothing but negative things to say - leave it elsewhere, but not on here. Please have some respect for the family - they just lost their daughter in this tragic event. R.I.P. little one!
Jasin Reimer, the father POINTED A GUN at him. Just how do you propose 'standing down' from that or 'deescalating the eviction'? Didn't violate any rules of engagement. Sorry but no rules of engagement require taking the time and effort (if it is even possible) to determine if anyone was behind his target, especially while he has a gun pointed at him.
50k seems like a bit much
I highly doubt that this money will be used to find any scholarships. This is going directly to their purse. Children's funerals are inexpensive and you have more than enough. Greedy.
There is a grieving family that lost a child reading the comments on this page. As far as 'domestic abuse' you do not know if this mans behavior was inductive to the way that he treated his family, I'm assuming that you didn't actually read the section where it said mental illness -and- abuse. This was not the first time this man got violent. Don't like it, don't fund it, but keep your comments where trolling is at least vaguely appropriate. When it comes to who ever was right or wrong in firing what ever shot was fired this isn't the page to have a discussion on gun ethics. That said, I am so so sorry for your loss, as a mother of two and one on the way I can not imagine what she is going through. No one should have to out live a child. Your in my thoughts.
This was not domestic violence . . . This is a family that was being evicted for not paying their housing . . . The father then pointed a shot gun at the constables chest . . . Do not give them money . . . It will be misappropriated . . . Trust the mother to administer the funds when she couldn't pay her bills? I don't think so! Gofundme is overused and becoming a scam to get money from kind people. Such a shame. They couldn't even be truthful about what really went down.
This is a tragedy. When a loved one is killed for any reason or circumstance negative comments are not helpful. You can think them all you want but out of respect to the family they don't need to be verbalized. Put yourself in the family's position. They are grieving beyond belief I am sure. If this were you would this be a comment you would find helpful or hurtful?
It is very sad for this girl and her family. However, the actions were set in motion by her Father having a firearm near his child. Also, I understanding needing to bury her. But $50,000 to a family that didn't pay their rent is a bit much. I feel they are trying to get folks to pay their bills and fund an apartment. Again, nothing wrong with funeral funds since many don't have life insurance policies on their children.
If the father hadn't threatened the officer with a rifle, his daughter would still be alive.
I don't understand people why make this family rich or $50,000 richer? You should be donating to the family and to the officer that was involved in this he's the one that is going to need all the psychological help your rewarding a family for violating the law I just don't understand...
Absolutely disgusted with you people leaving negative comments. You should be so ashamed. I'm embarrassed for you. RIP Ciara.
Please take the time to read the reason for this campaign. The majority of the funds are for a scholarship to be set up in Ciara's name. Those who are trolling here should be ashamed of themselves. The purpose seems pretty clear to me. I also seem to remember they were being evicted and the father is in jail where he belongs. What do you think they have to pay for a funeral, no matter how little it costs? Use your brain before writing a hateful comment, better yet, keep it to yourself. Ciara was killed, let's help them make something good come out of this.
I don't think this is the place to be commenting on it being her father's fault. Please allow the family to grieve the tragic loss of their child/family member in peace.
What funeral home? Just a suggestion that if people are questioning where the money is going maybe we could make a donation to the funeral home directly. I pray for this family, however, that much money is not necessary plus then you know where it goes
Some of you are so ignorant and cruel. First of all, a young child was just killed in an tragic accident. That alone should be enough for all of the cynical a-holes to keep quiet. Should the father have pointed a gun? Of course not, but this money (if you read the description) is going to fund the funeral and also a scholarship in Ciara's name. If some of the money does go to the mother, I'm ok with it. Do you know why? That woman just lost her daughter, her husband, her home and God knows what else within seconds. If she does have a job, do you really think she'll be able to go to work any time soon? As the father of two girls under the age of 10, I sure wouldn't be able to. If you don't want to donate then don't. No one is forcing you to. Don't leave filthy comments criticizing anyone involved in this incident. You weren't there and you do not know the details. Maybe I should comb through your lives and start bombing your Facebook page with comments about how you're lazy and greedy. At least learn how to use proper grammar when writing douchebag comments.
I'm sorry but I have to agree with many people on here. 50k? Really?? Can someone please post the information for the funeral home handling the arrangements. I will gladly donate to help with funeral cost for this poor child but not on this site. 50k!! Whoever set that amount should be ashamed of their self...seriously. Asking for help is one thing being taken advantage of is a whole different story.
The fathers family should also contribute for raising a wreckless waste of a human being! For thinking he was a big shot by pulling a gun on another person in front of his daughter. I hope he learns his lesson.
