Church Bell Tower Repair Fund
Donation protected
Milligan Memorial Presbyterian Church has a long history of helping the local commuity with such outreach programs as the Christian Nursing Service, The Well Baby Clinic, Home Nursing, Telecheck, Meals on Wheels, Youth Recreation and many others. In the last few years, our small congregation has donated enough money to have eight concrete floors installed in the small shacks that the residents of Carrefour Sanon, Haiti, call home. This simple act can extend the life expectancy of the children living there by at least 10 years. But now Milligan Memorial Presbyterian Church is in real danger of closing it's doors forever. With all the rains we've experienced of late, we have discovered that the roof on the bell tower and the tower itself is leaking badly. The ceiling in the entry way beneath the tower has fallen and the water has damaged the flooring and carpet. The ceiling in the santuary next to the tower is also in danger. There is mold on the drywall board and in the tower. This has made the building unsafe. The congregation is small and the funds are not available to fix the roof and tower and repair the damage. Any funds raised will go 100% towards the cost of repairs and enable this 120 year old church to continue in the service of the Lord and the local community. We have had one private donor pledge to match any donations made here. Any help you can provide will be a blessing, and we will be forever grateful.
