Thursday, March 9th Amanda Geney, the mother of Jesus Alberto Geney Montes “Chucho” received the news no mother ever wants to receive, the death of her loving son. Amanda’s heart has never felt so heavy. Even though she is so thankful for every moment life gave her to be Chucho’s mom, at this time she does not understand why this time was cut so short. She dearly misses her Negrito Lindo here on earth.
The circumstances of his death are still under investigation and our hearts are filled with loss and a heartbreak that seems infinite. While this is a difficult time for all of us, we try to remain patient in understanding the events that led to Chucho's tragic death.
As in all walks of life, Chucho and his family believed they had time to plan, to love, and time together. Unfortunately life had other plans and Amanda is left enduring much pain and anguish.
Chucho was borned in Bogota, Colombia, but he was raised in Sampues, Sucre, Colombia next to his aunt Kelley Margarita Geney. He was only 24 years old, he had moved to Santa Clara, California 12 years ago, to be with his mom Amanda and his step-father Richard.
Chucho was such a fine young man. He was well loved by all of us that had the fortune of know him. He was respectful, responsible and helpful with those around him. He attended De Anza College where he was pursuing his general education, he had big dreams to become an odontologist.
During this time, no family should have to worry about money, there is enough grief and worry they must get through at this time. Chucho was so young and this was so unexpected, there are many funds needed to plan the repatriation of his body to Colombia as his mom desires, as well as funeral and many other unthought of expenses.
Thank-you so much for all of the prayers that have been lifted up to this family. They are very appreciated. Please give Amanda and her family the time and space they need to grieve at this time.

El día Jueves, 9 de marzo Amanda Geney, la madre de Jesús Alberto Geney Montes "Chucho" recibió la noticia que ninguna madre quiere recibir, la muerte de su querido hijo. El corazón de Amanda nunca se ha sentido tan pesado. A pesar de que está muy agradecida por cada momento que la vida le permitió estar como la madre de Chucho, en este momento ella no entiende el por qué su vida fue cortada tan pronto. Ella extraña mucho su Negrito Lindo aquí en la tierra.
Las circunstancias de su muerte están todavía bajo investigación y nuestros corazones están llenos de dolor y de un desconsuelo que parece infinito. Si bien este es un momento difícil para todos nosotros, tratamos de mantener las fuerzas y paciencia para comprender los eventos que llevaron a la trágica muerte de Chucho.
Como en todos los ámbitos de la vida, Chucho y su familia creían que tenían tiempo para planear, amar y pasar tiempo juntos. Desafortunadamente la vida tenía otros planes y Amanda se queda sufriendo llena de mucho dolor, angustia e impotnecia de no haber podido ayudar a su hijo.
Chucho nació en Bogotá, Colombia, pero fue criado en Sampues, Sucre, Colombia, junto a su tía Kelley Margarita Geney. Tenía sólo 24 años, se había mudado a Santa Clara, California hace 12 años, para estar con su madre Amanda y su padrastro Richard.
Chucho era un hombre bueno. Él era muy querido por todos nosotros que tuvimos la fortuna de conocerlo. Era respetuoso, responsable y servicial con los que le rodeaban. Asistió al Colegio De Anza donde cursaba su educación general y tenía grandes sueños para convertirse en odontólogo.
Durante este tiempo, ninguna familia debe tener que preocuparse por el dinero, ya es suficiente con el dolor y la preocupación que deben atravesar en este momento. Chucho era tan joven y todo esto fue tan inesperado, que hay muchos gastos que son necesarios para planear la repatriación de su cuerpo a Colombia como lo desea su madre, por eso se hace este llamado de humanidad para colaborar a aliviar un poco el sufrimiento de esta familia.
Muchas gracias por todas las oraciones que se han levantado para esta familia. Son muy apreciadas. Por favor permitan a Amanda y a su familia el tiempo y el espacio que necesitan en este difícil momento.
