Who We Are?
We are a group of gaming enthusiasts who love LARPing so much that we created our own: Chronicles.
What is LARPing?
I'm glad you asked! It stands for “Live Action Role Playing”. Players dress up and become a character in a dynamic world. Imagine: instead of reading about or watching epic adventures, you could live them! The character you create will be the star of their own story, and play a part in others. Each player will have their own goals, allies, and enemies. How deeply you delve is up to you.
About the World
Chronicles takes place in Denith Thane, a world of sword and sorcery, dark demons and righteous knights. Most of the story unfolds around a small trading village called Khoa's Creek. Regardless of experience level, players can quickly become involved in events and adventures due to our inclusive and welcoming atmosphere. That isn't to say all characters are good guys though, as not all stories have happy endings.
Status of the Game
The system was fully play tested over this past year to great success. We even overcame the largest obstacle of any new LARP undertaking: finding a site!
The Site
Chronicles is played on a beautiful ten acre plot of land in Holland, MA, which is just south of Sturbridge. The site abuts a massive state forest, so there is a lot of room to explore. Construction of a brand new tavern begins in November. The game is going to start as a small village, and will grow as we do.
So Why GoFundMe, and Where is the Money Going?
We are running this GoFundMe campaign to accomplish a few goals:
1) Mitigate construction and initial start-up costs, such as lumber, props, costumes, etc.
2) Get the word out about Chronicles. We would love to welcome new players to our world.
3) Offer discounted admission rates to our events.
Our Plan
Season One will consist of seven events. Each will take place over a single day (12 - 9pm), starting in April and ending in October. The August event will be free of charge.
Event Admission
$20 - Preregistration, paid at least one week in advance
$25 - At the door
Reward Tiers
$5 - Friend - We will send you a personal message, thanking you for the help!
$15 - Traveler - One event admission to be redeemed whenever you would like!
$40 – Scouting Party –You will receive one event admission for three people.
$85 – Season Pass – You may play every Season One Chronicles Event at a steep discount!
