Christopher Water's Memorial Fund

It is difficult to fathom that Christopher Waters was taken from us through a senseless act of violence. Chris was an unbelievably passionate music educator for the Shelby County School system and member of the Amro team. He shared his love and passion for music with every single person he encountered and worked tirelessly to ensure that all students experienced the joys of making music. He will be missed by his students, friends  and coworkers. Chris made a tremendous impact in only a few years as a teacher and was bound to do countless more great things for Memphis' youth and for music education.

All of the funds raised will be donated with input from the Waters family, Shelby County Schools and Amro Music to support Chris's passion of music education in the Memphis community.  Options being considered are making an instrument purchase in honor of Chris and donating them to Belle Forrest Community School, where Chris taught, or establishing a scholarship for Memphis students studying to be an orchestra teacher. 

This fund was created by Nick Averwater, a co-worker of Chris Waters' at Amro Music.
