Final expenses for Christina Haley

Donation protected
My mother, Christina Haley, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 20 in her home.

For much of my life, my mother has been battling with her mental health. This past year, we began to communicate again after several years of little to no contact. I was encouraged to know that she was actively attending therapy and taking medication. Unfortunately, she accidentally overdosed on her medication and -although I wasn't very close to my Mom- I was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. It has been an incredibly difficult few weeks since I've lost her.

I'm choosing to remember the wonderful things about my Mom. When I was a young child, I remember visiting my mother and all of the fun we would have with my two younger brothers, Jacob and Alex. She always made sure we knew how much she loved us when we were together and found fun things to do with us. We would always get to pick out movies to rent for sleep overs and have crazy dance parties in the living room before bedtime. When she could, she would buy us a new toy -often cars or baby dolls- to play with at her house. She loved all holidays, but especially Halloween, when she could see us in costume and Valentines Day, when she would give us a box of chocolates.

Although she wasn’t around as much as my brothers and I hoped growing up, the time we did have with my Mom was cherished; she tried the best she knew how while always fighting her own battles. At the age of 18, as my mothers next of kin and oldest child, I have taken on all of her final arrangements. I currently have her ashes from the funeral home and hope to raise enough money to purchase her a beautiful urn, a plot to bury her next to her mother in Manilla, AR, and a headstone or grave marker like my brothers have asked for. There is also a substantial bill still remaining with the funeral home that I'm working on paying off before we can get these things.

My brothers and I would appreciate any kind of support you are able to give, be it financial, spiritual, or emotional. We hope to take care of her final arrangements with as much love as we know she had for us in her life.

We love you Mom -
