Christina Gailey: Road to Recovery

A trip to Australia was meant to bring new opportunities and exciting adventures for Frank and Christina Gailey. Frank had signed a deal with the Australian Baseball League to pitch for the Canberra Cavalry, while Christina gave up her job in Philadelphia to join and support her husband, as well as experience what the beautiful land down under has to offer.
Unfortunately on Tuesday 19 December 2017, Christina was involved in a shocking head-on collision as a passenger on her way to visit the South Coast. The car crash was caused by a woman who admittedly was under the influence of drugs. As a result of the car crash Christina suffered internal injuries, broken ribs, a fractured foot, and most disabling, a broken femur. She was rushed to the Canberra hospital where emergency surgery was performed. She is healing but the road ahead to recovery will be a long one. Healthcare Specialists and Insurance Regulators are now advising that Christina will be grounded in Canberra for longer than the Gailey's had initially planned, potentially for one full year, until Christina is walking again.
The purpose of this page is to help cover out-of-pocket-expenses for the Gailey's to ensure that they can solely focus on Christina’s recovery so they can fly back home to America as soon as possible.
Any amount would be greatly appreciated as a little bit goes a long way.

We are now faced with unforeseen financial hurdles.
This campaign will give us a foundation and the opportunity to live out our "new norm" here in Australia which requires out of pocket medical expenses, independent living arrangements, legal expenses to battle our unique situation, and most of all, just keeping our heads above water while Christina recovers away from home.
