Kaya Christensen passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on January 21, 2017. She left behind Jocelyn, her wife of 17 years, and their two children, Neil and Ella. Kaya was a strong and vibrant soul who fought to be her most genuine self and touched so many lives with her kind words of encouragement and her willingness to listen. Anyone who had the opportunity to count her and her family as friends were treated to her humor, energy and love.
Prior to her passing, Kaya was hospitalized for a sudden liver related medical problem and remained under observation for four days. Between the costs of her hospitalization and the upcoming funeral costs, Jocelyn will need all the help she can get even though she would never ask. Please consider donating in order to help take away some of the anxiety that comes from losing a spouse.
Kaya was an ardent supporter of the Utah Pride Center and had volunteered her time for the Utah Pride Celebration. If you want to donate additional funds to this organization in Kaya’s name, that would be a fitting tribute to her legacy.
