Chris Brunkhart Cancer Fund
For the past year, Chris has been living happily in Brooklyn, shooting landscape photography and field portraiture, while dabbling in mixed media sculpture,
woodworking, and continued contributions to film and video projects. Upon his diagnosis in September, Chris returned to Portland with his partner so he could be with family and friends during his treatment and enroll in the Oregon Health Plan.
Today we are asking for your help as Chris faces a painful and uncertain road forward. Your support will help cover the integrative and alternative treatments that Chris is pursuing with strength and optimism, in addition to the intense chemotherapy he has already begun. Your support will also help offset the very deep financial drain that Chris, his partner and his mom now face as they become full time patient and caregivers.
Our thanks in advance for your generosity, kindness and most especially for your friendship which means the world to Chris.
We are each just one devastating diagnosis away from the physical, emotional, and financial challenges that Chris is now up against. Our collective efforts can truly make a difference and help lift and carry Chris through this scary time. By making a donation you’ll also be added to an email list so you can stay up to date on events and benefits coming up in Portland, San Diego and NYC.

A note of true Thanksgiving to everyone who has given so very generously to Chris in his time of need. We have accomplished so much since this campaign kicked off - raising critical funds to support Chris, coming together to put on amazing benefits in Portland and Costa Mesa, and most important, demonstrating to Chris and to each other the power of our collective love, friendship and positivity. Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. We love you Chris!
A HUGE AND ENORMOUS THANK YOU to everyone who joined us this past Friday night at Nemo Design in Portland for our first art auction and benefit event for Chris. Nearly 500 friends from near and far showed up to see and celebrate Chris and he obliged us with hugs, smiles and even a speech. Thank you to Trevor, Carey and all of Nemo for hosting us, to the incredible friends who flew in just to be there, and to the many (many!) people who donated their time, artwork, photography, memorabilia, product and resort packages for the cause. We are so proud of the good in our community and in each and every one of you. Thank you!
And now onward to SoCal! Please join us this Thursday November 20 at the Boathouse Collective in Costa Mesa from 5:00 – 11:30pm as we continue to rally for Chris.
