On Tuesday February 20, 2018 my cousin Christina got the call that no wife or Mother wants to hear. Her husband  had an accident at work and fell off a ladder causing a traumatic brain injury. Chris is in ICU being closely monitored during this time and we are praying each day for his recovery and return home to his wife and their two children. Chris has a long road ahead of healing, and recovery.
Many of you have reached out to the family and asked how you can help. Whether you can make a donation, send a prayer, share the page, offer to make a meal, help with the house or the kids, there are so many ways that we can come together and help them!
At this time, we are not sure how long he is going to be in the hospital, or therapy. So please take a moment to send a prayer, or make a donation or reach out if there is another way you would like to help out!

Prayers for healing!

Wanted to share a little update. Chris was discharged home Tuesday with the expectation that Home health services would be coming to help with therapy. There have been some bumps in the road, and some logistics that need to be worked out so in the meantime Chris was supposed to go stay at a brain injury rehab facility. After arriving Christina and Chris made the decision that it just wasn’t the right fit for him.
This has been very frustrating for their family, and isn’t going how it was expected.
Please continue to pray for healing and guidance. Reach out to Christina if you are able, to help with kids or to sit with her or Chris. It’s always hard to ask for help, but even a phone call can make a difference in someone’s day!
Thank you again!

WONDERFUL NEWS! Christina just reached out and asked me to share, that Chris will be coming home TODAY! They are hoping to discharge him from the hospital with in-home services that will come to the house and help him instead of having to stay in a rehab facility. He will have many follow ups with the neurosurgeons and repeat CAT scans over the next year, along with the continued in home care. The doctors are hoping that his recovery will be faster, being at home.
This is wonderful news, and shows how strong Chris is fighting and improving everyday. Continue to pray for his healing and speech!

Reached and surpassed the original goal That had been set! Amazing! Today was a special day for me, I was able to go down and see Christina and Chris. I arrived right after the neuro doctors came to meet with them, so wanted to give you all some updates.
Chris was able to have the EEG headset taken off and I think that made things much more comfortable for him. He looks good and I’m glad I was able to visit for a little bit. The doctors hope to move Chris out of ICU in the next day or so and into a recovery room where he will be monitored for the rest of the week and see how he is healing. At that point they will decide what steps are next. Maybe even going home and having in Home therapy/rehabilitation! That would be the hope if things go well through the next week.
So keep the prayers coming! Thank you All again for your continued support
