My son Chris Chircop, Jr., Krishhna Chandra,  was born on Janmastami on August 16, 1968. He was enrolled in several of Srila Prabhupada's  Gurukulas. In Dalas, Detroit, West Virginia and Vrindavan, India, Chaitanya College, England. He moved to LaCrosse, FL to be near his family  in 1997.  He has been an active member of the Alachua community of devotees ever since and has participated in constructions projects such as the beautiful Tulasi house on the temple farm.
He left this world on March 1, 2018, Gaura Purnima  as he was involved in a fatal car incident not far from home.
We are raising funds for fees related to his funeral, legal fees, and unforeseen expenses. Any unused funds will be placed in a trust fund for his 11 year old son Christopher who is Chris's soul surviving child. Chris is also survived by his brother Brendan(Brindi) Butland, his stepfather Ron Curtis and myself, his mom. We appreciate all contributions. The funds will be managed by myself and Akincana Krishna, Ron Curtis.
Please join us for  Chris's funeral/memorial is on Thursday, March 8th at  at Milam Funeral Home located at 311 SW Main St, Gainesville, FL at 4PM. Feel free to come and show support for the family.

Akincana Krishna and I would like to thank everyone who has donated to this GoFundMe to help us get through the events of the last week to help us sort things out. We are still burdened with some challenges regarding legal fees to ensure our future relationship with our grandson and that Chris’s estate is in order for CJ to inherit on his 18th birthday. As we all know legal fees are usually not small. So any more help would greatly appreciated.
Also many thanks to those who attended Chris’s funeral on Thursday. It is so wonderful to be part of a big family. Fourteen of my family members came from Michigan. Twelve of them drove even through snow storms. As my sister Vicky so nicely informed everyone Chris spent part of his teen years living with my parents and so was involved with a very large extended family of: 7 aunts, 2 uncles (and their spouses and partners), 18 first cousins, 13 second cousins, and 1 third cousin. He obviously loved them and they loved him as well as his cousin John struggled to express.
Then we have a very large and caring devotee community here in Alachua/LaCrosse in which Chris had numerous friends and aunties and uncles who knew him and looked after him in a friendly way over the last twenty years. So many of whom showed up to support us on Thursday.
We were very grateful for CJ youth minister from his church to come to the funeral and speak. The thing I liked that he said over and over was the “Chris was a good father.” This would make Chris very happy to hear. CJ, little Christopher, was Chris’s life and reason to live. Chris picked up CJ every day after school so they had lots of time together. They liked to go to the skate park and skateboard together and to Skate Station. They did many things together and Chris was very attentive to his boy. CJ will have fond memories of his dad for years to come.
Chris had a lot of struggles with his mind but he also had a very curious and inventive mind. I was not aware of all of the things Chris was interested in but his friends tell me he was always on the internet learning about and trying new projects from Free Energy (not sure what that is) to designing solar power devices. He was always tinkering and liked to try to invent things. He was always busy on this with project or that, remodeling his mobile home.
Chris was always with us on family holidays; birthdays, Christmas, etc. and family outings to the springs, etc. It will be hard for us with him not being there with us. His brother Brindi, his step brother Div, step sister Shiro, her husband Charlie, her baby Lia, and his son Christopher (CJ). We will all miss him terribly.
Please keep us in your prayers as maybe the hardest part of this journey is yet to come.
