The cast of Choice: The Musical is raising $5,000 to cover production costs related to premiering our musical at the 3rd annual Premier Premieres Festival at MCL in Chicago on June 23, 2017 and beyond...
(Costs include: composing and scoring 15+ original songs, rehearsal space, props and costumes, advertising, misc. costs.)
We believe it's the perfect time for a fun, funny, high-energy musical about this difficult subject. And we plan to stage it again following our June 23rd premier!

Choice: The Musical is a lighthearted take on a subject that many consider no laughing matter – abortion! In the age of Trump, when reproductive rights are being rolled back weekly, and Roe vs Wade is in jeopardy of being overturned, what better time to send up the intractable struggle that overwhelms the news every election cycle and prevents Americans from getting anything else done?!
Choice: The Musical follows the adventures of Ellie, a young pro-life protestor, who has her life changed forever when she is forced to confront three pro-choice advocates; Dana, Carla and Bridget, face to face. Instead of saving souls, Ellie finds her own soul in turmoil as she discovers she has been sitting in the passenger seat of her own life.

Sheri Flanders (Head Writer), Josh Flanders, Kimber Russel, & Kerry Santoro. Sheri and Josh Flanders are both graduates of the Second City Conservatory and the entire writing team are graduates of the Second City Music Program.
Director Jeff Bouthiette is the head of the Second City Training Center's Music Program and an accomplished songwriter, actor, playwright and director. Choice is Assistant Directed by Molly Todd Madison.
Brad Kemp is a composer, producer, performer and music director and has composed original music for several musicals, including Tapped, the winner of the first year of Premiere Premieres Festival. Brad also runs a private recording studio www.BKStudiosChicago.com
