Chucky's Shark attack recovery

Around noon on Sept. 18, a 6-foot bull shark attacked our friend Chucky Luciano at New Smyrna Beach.
Many of us were surfing when the shark aggressively attacked him multiple times and bit him pretty bad on both hands. He fought off the shark and made it back shore, despite losing a lot of blood, Beach Patrol and Fire rescue were able to rush him to the hospital for treatment.
Thankfully he is alive, and will be ok. He received pretty serious lacerations to both of his hands and had to undergo hand reconstructive surgery at Halifax Memorial Hospital in Daytona Beach.
Unfortunately, his insurance does not cover accidents outside Miami, and he’s liable to cover all medical expenses.
All funds donated here will go to help him with his medical bills, ER fees, hospital fees, ambulance costs, surgery cost, Doctor fees, anesthesia, medication costs, physical therapy, etc.
Chucky is a self-employed surf instructor in Miami. Through this ordeal, he is not able to work for at least six weeks and cannot use his hand and fingers. He has a good attitude, is recovering and remaining positive.
The current estimated medical costs are around 48k without including physical therapy, and the time lost that Chuck will not be able to work. Any donation amount you can give is much appreciated!
Chucky is an excellent person and a great friend to so many of us. He’s always helping out anyone he can. Chucky would give the shirt off his back to any person in need.
Just last week, Chucky pulled a good friend out of the water. Unfortunately he passed in away in South Beach. This tragic accident couldn't have happened to a nicer person, and we believe the reason Chucky made it out alive from the shark attack is because of all the positive energy surrounding him. He’s got several people watching over him.
Let's come together and show him support and care and how much we care for him.
