Chloe's Cuddle Cot

*In less than 48 hours we have almost hit our target. We are so thankful. Amazed and in awe of everyone's generosity. We've decided to keep this going and see where we end up. We may even get 2 Chloe Cuddle Cots. How wonderful that would be. Thank you again*
As you all know, Matt and I lost our daughter Chloe last August. Chloe was stillborn at full-term. That’s something that we never thought would happen, something that we were never aware of and something that has changed our world forever. Sadly, we have joined a club that is far bigger and stretches far wider than we could've imagined. It saddens us deeply to know that every day 4 parents in Australia alone join us in this exclusive club.

For us though, the last few months has been made easier thanks to the support and love from everyone. There are no words for it and we are eternally grateful, speechless even. At the time, everyone asked us what they could do, how they could help, people just wanted to “do something”. To be honest, there wasn’t a lot anyone could do. We needed a lot of time to think, adjust and grieve.

As things have become easier and the load gets a little easier to carry, I've given a lot of thought to how everyone can help. When Chloe was born, we were gifted an Obstetric Social Worker who guided us through everything. She was truly an Angel and we are forever in her debt.  I've spoken to her and found out that she needs a "Cuddle Cot". A cuddle cot is basically a refrigerated mattress that is placed in a cot that keeps the baby at the right temperature. More than that though, it allows the baby to stay with its parents for some time. It allows parents to be parents and gives them time to create memories. This may not be conventional but it helps. I can certainly attest to that. We can't change the outcome for these parents but we can certainly help light the way.

So here we are. I’ve set up this little fundraiser to raise money for a cuddle cot which costs $4,000. This cuddle cot will be at Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney and will be given in Chloe’s name (Chloe’s Cuddle Cot - gotta love a little bit of alliteration!). If you’d like more information on Cuddle Cots, I’ve popped a link below.

Once again, thank you for all the love and support. We are forever grateful.

Love,
Matt, Hanh & Chloe
