Not a cure but a HUGE help

The doctors say I'm far too young, but I was recently diagnosed with quite a developed case of Bowel cancer. 

I'm John, I just turned 36 and I've being experiencing significant symptoms for some time now. 

It was obvious there was something very wrong and after some tests, the results changed our world forever. 

I go in to my first surgery first thing tomorrow for the beginning of what I'm told will be a tough battle. 

I recently got married and my wife and I moved to a country town to chase a career opportunity for my wife and start our new lives together. 

The plan: I was to become a stay-at-home husband and eventual father. We were to come here and save money, I was to work part time and start working on my dream; become a video game content creator and eventually earn money in doing this to help support my wife and kids. I could work from home, optimising my ability to juggle family and work. 

We were always planning on purchasing a PC capable playing current video games, recording while playing and editing videos to upload to the world.

I started creating content immediately after moving here a few months ago using a 5 year old laptop computer. It was evident that an upgrade was necessary. I managed a few simple videos, but with consistent hardware failures which made the process a struggle. 

Obviously since being diagnosed, finances are tough, cancer treatment doesn't come cheap and this means we will no longer be in a financial situation where buying a new computer is possible. 

WHY FUND THIS AT SUCH A TIME?

I know this is the first thing that would come to many people's minds. Very simply, the most important healing factor for someone going through this situation is mental stability. Doctors inform me that it's most important to remain mentally active, stimulated and positive.

This project, what I'm creating, gives me a chance to do the thing I've wanted most for a long time, in what has already become the darkest and most difficult thing I've had to face. It will help me remain focused, give me necessary stimulation, keep me in touch with other people and provide much needed happiness. 

I will do anything to stay alive as long as possible. Death is my greatest fear, dying young would be a disaster. If getting this project funded will put my spirits where they need to be, grant me greatest chance at surviving - then I'll take every chance I can get.

These goals include site fees not previously determined (seemingly 8-10% from GoFundMe and Swipe payments system)


Basic Gaming PC - $2200
This will be enough to get a basic PC that will do the job to get me started. This PC will play most games on basic settings and recording simultaneously. It will be a short term tool for getting my content out there for the world to see

Good Gaming PC - $3300
This PC will be a solid gaming rig and will more comfortably record and render video. This PC will be a little more future proof, making it survive longer term with minor upgrades. Recording higher quality graphics will have more desirable outcomes.

Strong Gaming PC - $4400
This PC will comfortably play and record high quality video games at high settings. 4K resolution recording is more possible and rendering those higher quality videos will be done with ease. This PC has huge room for upgrading and will last a very long time.

Dream Gaming PC - $5500
This pc will do it all. It will have faster processing power, exceptional graphical power and large super fast hard drives to transfer and edit my videos. 4K gaming, recording, editing and streaming will definitely be happening. This computer will drive my project for 10 years and make my dreams reachable with ease.
